Job summary

The Supply Register is seeking dedicated RE Teachers to join our network of Beckfoot Trust secondary schools in South Yorkshire. We have full-time and part-time opportunities across Beckfoot School, Beckfoot Oakbank, Beckfoot Thornton and Beckfoot Upper Heaton.

You will deliver high-quality Religious Education, plan lessons, assess pupil progress and support inclusive learning. Ideal candidates hold QTS or equivalent, have experience teaching RE in secondary settings, and are committed to

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching RE in a secondary school setting.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong knowledge of the RE curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated RE lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Assess, monitor, and record pupils progress, using data to inform planning and next steps.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports all learners.
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies, promoting high expectations.
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND, EAL, and varying abilities.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff to support learning and pupil progress.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupils progress and well-being.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including meetings, events, and extracurricular activities where appropriate.
• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote the welfare of all pupils.
