Job summary

Shrewton C of E Primary School is seeking a dedicated Primary School Teacher to join our friendly team from January 2027, teaching Years 3 and 4. We aim to foster a warm, inclusive classroom where every child can thrive and develop a love of learning.

We value creativity, community involvement and strong relationships with families. The successful candidate will uphold our Church of England ethos, work collaboratively with staff, and contribute to the school's wider life and wellbeing

Qualifications

Holds Qualified Teacher Status or a recognised teaching qualification.
This post is suitable for ECTs.
Experience teaching primary Years 3–4 is desirable.

Responsibilities

Teach and inspire pupils in Years 3 and 4 with engaging, inclusive lessons.
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that foster curiosity and confidence.
Create a warm, supportive classroom where every child feels valued.
Assess and monitor learning to inform future teaching and differentiate support.
Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider life of the school.
Build strong relationships with parents, carers and the local community.
Uphold the Christian ethos and values of the Church of England school.
