Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a passionate Primary Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school on Canvey Island. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum, creating a positive, inclusive environment where every child feels valued and motivated.

You will collaborate with teaching assistants, assess pupil progress, and communicate with parents. The role emphasizes safeguarding, staff wellbeing, and active participation in school events and training.

Qualifications

• QTS is essential to apply.
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Safeguarding checks including DBS are required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver creative and differentiated lessons.
• Assess, record and report pupils’ progress and development.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Work effectively with teaching assistants and wider staff.
• Maintain excellent communication with parents and carers.
• Participate in staff meetings, training and school events.
• Uphold school policies and maintain high behaviour standards.
