Job summary

New Directions Group is recruiting Primary Teachers for daily and long-term cover in Pembrokeshire and surrounding areas. The roles suit both NQT’s and experienced teachers, offering flexible placements in partner schools.

As a Primary School Teacher you’ll deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, manage classrooms, plan and assess pupil progress, and collaborate with colleagues to provide exciting learning experiences that support children's development.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching across EYFS/KS1/KS2 is desirable.
• Ability to adapt to different learning needs and styles.
• Excellent communication with pupils and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Teach all areas of the school curriculum.
• Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment.
• Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
• Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation.
• Maintain discipline.
• Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development.
• Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues.
• Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum.
• Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
