Job summary

Education Matters Group in Twickenham is seeking a passionate Primary SEN Class Teacher to join a specialist school. You will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for primary pupils with additional learning needs, fostering academic, social and emotional development in a supportive environment.

As part of a collaborative school team, you will adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with autism, monitor progress and contribute to their wellbeing, while building strong

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Has experience teaching primary-aged pupils.
• Has experience working with pupils with SEN, particularly autism and additional learning needs.
• Is confident differentiating lessons for pupils working at different levels.
• Is patient, resilient, creative and passionate about inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons appropriate to pupils individual learning needs.
• Create a safe, structured and positive classroom environment.
• Adapt teaching methods and resources to support pupils with autism and additional learning needs.
• Monitor, assess and record pupil progress, setting achievable individual learning targets.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other professionals to support pupil development.
• Promote communication, independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and contribute to their overall wellbeing.
