Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Lecturer in Plumbing, Heating and Gas in Leicester to deliver both theory and practical sessions across Level 1–3 programmes. 37 hours per week, with start as soon as possible and a contract expected to run until Christmas.

You will teach domestic hot and cold water systems, central heating, drainage, and sustainable technologies, with a strong emphasis on health and safety in construction.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Plumbing, Heating and/or Gas (or equivalent)
• Level 2 Maths and English (GCSE Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent
• Full teaching qualification at Level 5 or willingness to work towards it

Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality theoretical and practical teaching
• Designing and improving learning experiences
• Planning and carrying out assessments in line with awarding body requirements
• Monitoring, recording and supporting student progress using college systems
• Contributing to strong student retention, achievement and progression outcomes
