Job summary

The University of Birmingham School is inviting applications for a Physical Education teacher to join our PE department and teach mixed gender, mixed ability physical education to pupils aged 11–19 in Birmingham.

The role requires safeguarding awareness and will involve supervising changing areas for privacy. The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher with a commitment to inclusion and student well-being, supporting the ongoing development of PE in the School.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified teacher with UK QTS or equivalent
• Commitment to inclusion and the well-being of every pupil
• Ability to raise student outcomes and develop PE in the school

Responsibilities

• Teach mixed gender, mixed ability Physical Education to 11–19-year-olds
• Supervise female pupils in changing areas before and after PE lessons, upholding safeguarding requirements
• Contribute to enrichment activities and PE department development
