• Holds QTS or is working towards it (ECT Welcome).
• Ability to teach PE across KS3/KS4; KS5 teaching desirable.
• Passionate about sport, physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
• Strong subject knowledge and commitment to high-quality teaching.
• High expectations of achievement, attendance and behaviour.
• Inspires and engages students of diverse abilities.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Committed to inclusion and safeguarding for all students.
• Enthusiastic about contributing to a wide extra-curricular programme.
• Team player eager to support department and wider school.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging PE lessons that drive progress.
• Maintain high behaviour standards and an inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Motivate students across abilities, including SEND and disadvantaged learners.
• Contribute to the PE curriculum and scheme of work.
• Lead and support a range of extra-curricular activities and clubs.
• Act as a form tutor supporting academic progress and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with parents and colleagues to optimise outcomes.
• Uphold safeguarding, health and safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in school events and enrichment activities.
• Be willing to upskill to drive a minibus when required.
