Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a talented Music Teacher for a welcoming Suffolk school. You will deliver a varied Music curriculum across key stages, fostering listening, performing and composing skills while encouraging inclusive participation.

The ideal candidate will have a Music degree (desirable) and a PGCE with QTS, with a commitment to assessment and developing students' creative potential. Opportunities to contribute to performances and ensembles are available.

Qualifications

• Qualified Music Teacher able to deliver the curriculum across key stages.
• Degree in Music or related subject desirable.
• PGCE with QTS preferred.
• Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of Music.
• Ability to plan differentiated lessons for varying experience.
• Effective classroom management and communication.
• Commitment to assessment and creative development.
• Willing to contribute to extracurricular musical activities.
• Legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Teach Music across the relevant key stages with a balanced curriculum.
• Deliver listening, performing, composing and evaluating activities.
• Create an inclusive, stimulating classroom and adapt lessons to learner needs.
• Assess progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
• Support wider musical activities such as performances, ensembles and projects.
