Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a Mathematics Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Rotherham. You will plan and deliver engaging maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 experience desirable.

The role is suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs), offering opportunities for professional development, collaboration, and access to excellent teaching resources within a supportive Mathematics department.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification is essential.
• Degree in Mathematics or related subject is required.
• Strong knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum is required.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and young people.
• Previous teaching experience is desirable; Early Career Teachers encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience desirable).
• Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and effective classroom management.
• Support students in developing mathematical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations.
• Contribute to the development of the Mathematics curriculum and departmental initiatives.
• Participate in intervention programmes, revision sessions, and extracurricular activities where appropriate.
