Job summary

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Degree in Mathematics or related subject.
• Strong knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Previous teaching experience is desirable; ECTs are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable).
• Foster a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
• Support students in developing strong numeracy, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Contribute to the development of the Mathematics curriculum and departmental initiatives.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and intervention programmes where appropriate.
