Job summary

Walliscote Primary School is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. You will assist across classes, deliver targeted interventions, and help with resources, assessment and recording.

A key focus is supporting pupils with SEND and ALN while fostering confidence and love of learning. This permanent, part-time role (32.5 hours/week, term-time) offers a competitive salary of £22,692.92 and a start date in December 2026.

Qualifications

• NVQ/VRQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working with primary-aged children.
• Knowledge of SEND, ALN, autism, ADHD and attachment needs.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom and through targeted interventions.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support, including for pupils with SEND and ALN.
• Prepare learning resources and classroom displays.
• Assist with assessment, marking and record-keeping.
• Provide classroom cover when required.
• Support pupils' wellbeing, behaviour and pastoral needs.
• Assist with educational visits, school events and extracurricular activities.
• Work collaboratively across all year groups.
