Job summary

Qualifications

• Maths and English at Grade C or above or equivalent (Functional Skills).
• Experience supporting learners with SEND / additional learning needs.
• Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and effective strategies for supporting learners with additional needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage all learners.

Responsibilities

• Support and work closely with Tutors and Learners by helping deliver enrichment sessions and educational activities.
• Provide support to individuals and groups to maintain engagement with course materials and improve self-confidence.
• Identify individual needs and create, review and maintain effective support plans.
• Create a positive learning environment and encourage personal development.
• Assist in developing inspiring learning activities/resources for diverse learner needs.
• Monitor learner wellbeing, engagement and progress through regular reviews.
• Address barriers to engagement and support learners to stay focused on goals.
