Job summary

The Supply Register on behalf of EPNE is recruiting a Land-Based Engineering Lecturer to support Northumberland College at Kirkley Hall Campus. This temporary post involves delivering engaging FE lessons and supporting learners in the rural engineering sector.

The role requires practical knowledge of land-based machinery, a Level 5 teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one, and DBS checks. 37 hours per week (24 teaching, 13 planning/marking) with pay between £24.43 and £42.03 per

Qualifications

Experience teaching Land-Based Engineering in FE or similar industry background.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to motivate learners to achieve goals.
Qualified in Land-Based Engineering or Agricultural Engineering.
Level 5 teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
Level 2 English & Maths.
Experience with tractors and agricultural machinery.
Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

Deliver Land-Based Engineering lessons to FE students.
Teach agricultural machinery servicing and maintenance, engines, hydraulics, and diagnostics.
Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with curriculum requirements.
Support learners with target setting, progress reviews, and achievement of qualifications.
Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate student records.
Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and professional standards within the classroom.
