Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking a dedicated Secondary English Teacher to join a welcoming school in Okehampton, Devon. You will deliver engaging Key Stage 3 and 4 lessons, inspire a love of literature, and support students to reach GCSE targets.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS or an equivalent UK teaching qualification.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (essential)
• Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
• Confirmed right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons for KS3/KS4.
• Foster critical analysis, creative writing, and a love of reading.
• Assess, track and report on student progress; provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom with strong behaviour management.
• Prepare students for GCSE examinations.
• Collaborate with the English department to enhance literacy initiatives.
