Minehead First School in Minehead is seeking a dedicated KS2 Class Teacher to deliver high-quality teaching and learning for children aged 7–11. You’ll join a supportive staff team, helping learners thrive, with opportunities for professional development within a two-form entry school.

You will plan engaging lessons, uphold high standards of behaviour, and work closely with families to monitor progress and outcomes. The role is full-time with a 1.0 FTE hours commitment.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
• Commitment to inclusion and safeguarding.
• Ability to assess pupil progress and adapt teaching.
• Strong communication with families and colleagues.

Responsabilités

• Planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the curriculum.
• Adapting teaching to meet the needs of all pupils through differentiation.
• Assessing, monitoring and recording pupil progress to inform teaching.
• Creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Promoting high standards of behaviour and attitudes to learning.
• Working with teaching assistants and support staff to maximise pupil achievement.
• Contributing to curriculum planning, resources and schemes of work.
• Producing pupil progress reports and attending parents' evenings.
• Supporting pupils' personal, social and emotional development.
• Promoting safeguarding, health and safety, equality and inclusion at all times.
• Supporting the wider life of the school, including visits and community events.
