Job summary

TeacherActive in Darlington is seeking an enthusiastic IT Teacher to join a specialist SEN school. You will teach IT and Computing from Key Stage 3 through Key Stage 5, delivering engaging, differentiated lessons to students with diverse needs in a supportive environment.

The role is full-time/permanent with competitive daily rates (£160-£220) for temporary work, offering opportunities to contribute to student progress and the wider school community.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching IT/Computing up to Key Stage 5.
  • Experience with students who have Special Educational Needs.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire and engage learners with diverse needs.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

  • Teach IT and Computing from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5.
  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons.
  • Assess and monitor student progress.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and families.
  • Support wider school activities and safeguarding initiatives.
