Tradewind Recruitment is supporting a welcoming junior school in Wellingborough to appoint an experienced Interim Headteacher. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a confident school leader who can provide stability, direction and strong strategic leadership during an important period for the school.

The successful candidate will have senior leadership experience in primary education, a strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing, and the ability to inspire and develop staff.

Qualifications

• Proven senior leadership experience in a primary or junior school
• Experience as Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher or senior leader
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and safeguarding
• Ability to lead, communicate and drive school improvement

Responsibilities

• Provide strong, visible leadership across the school
• Maintain high expectations for teaching, learning, behaviour and attendance
• Develop and support staff to ensure high-quality teaching
• Oversee safeguarding, pupil wellbeing and pastoral provision
• Foster an inclusive school culture
• Collaborate with governors and external agencies
• Monitor school performance and drive improvement priorities
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the wider community
