Job summary

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Horticulture or a related subject.
• Proven industry experience within horticulture.
• Previous teaching experience within Further Education.
• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience delivering vocational and practical-based training.
• Strong communication, organisational and learner support skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality horticulture teaching to Further Education learners.
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
• Provide engaging practical and classroom-based learning experiences.
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Support student achievement, retention and progression.
• Maintain accurate assessment records and learner documentation.
• Promote a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance and awarding body standards.
