• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Previous teaching experience is desirable; ECTs are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience desirable).
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and achievement.
• Assess, monitor and report student progress in line with school policies.
• Differentiate lessons to meet varying abilities and learning styles.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
• Encourage critical thinking, source analysis and independent learning.
• Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
• Support enrichment activities and educational visits where appropriate.
