Job summary

Education Personnel are working with a Derby secondary school to recruit a Geography Teacher for an immediate start or January 2027. This role covers KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching available for experienced teachers, and requires Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

The successful candidate will deliver the Geography curriculum, plan and assess lessons, supervise fieldwork, and support department improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• QTS required.
• Minimum 6 months' teaching experience in a UK secondary school.
• KS3/KS4 experience with KS5 potential if experienced in Derby.

Responsibilities

• Deliver KS3 & KS4 Geography curriculum, with KS5 teaching available if experienced in Derby.
• Plan, prepare, and assess Geography lessons in line with department policy.
• Monitor student progress and organise required fieldwork modules.
• Contribute to Geography department improvement planning.
• Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents' evenings as required.
