Bradford College is seeking a Lecturer in Electrical Installation to deliver an outstanding student experience to young adults and experienced professionals. The role welcomes candidates with extensive industry experience and offers support to achieve a teaching qualification within 2 years.

The position is part-time (17.5 hours per week) and focuses on delivering high-quality learning, student wellbeing, and strong employer links, with opportunities to lead on innovation and modern working

Formación

• GCSE 4–9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
• GCSE 4–9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in English or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
• Relevant industry and/or vocational experience in Electrical Installation
• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation
• A recognised teaching qualification or a willingness to complete one within 2 years of commencing role

Responsabilidades

• Teach on courses specified by the management team in and out of college premises
• Assist the management team in delivering high learning value, financially efficient programmes and to lead on innovation and efficiency in the delivery of learning
• Be responsible for student’s academic progress, wellbeing, behaviour management and careers and pastoral guidance throughout their learning journey
• Seek out and respond to the student voice – seeing students as primary stakeholders in their learning
• Help students develop modern, safe working practices and behaviours – in both technical and employability skills
• Participate actively in enrolment, monitoring, profiling and assessment of students
• Proactively develop and promote close links with employer/industry partners
• Create enriching, effective and inspirational programmes of learning exposing students to real-life work experiences
• Treat students as individuals and develop personalised learning plans driving progress and career goals
