Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a caring Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Sparkhill, Birmingham. You will support the class teacher, assist children's learning and daily routines, and help create a safe, inclusive environment for early development.

Ideal candidates hold Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years or related childcare, with strong communication and teamwork skills, and a patient, proactive approach to supporting children’s learning and development.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or relevant childcare.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Patient, caring and proactive approach to supporting learning.
• Desirable Paediatric First Aid certificate (optional).

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and stimulating learning activities.
• Assist children with their learning, development and daily routines.
• Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage children's social, emotional and communication skills.
• Support the implementation of the EYFS framework.
• Work collaboratively with staff to ensure all children receive the support they need to thrive.
