Job summary

Hillside Primary School in Ipswich, part of the Active Learning Trust, is seeking a dedicated Class Teacher who values every pupil and strives for high standards.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess progress, and maintain a positive, inclusive environment. You will work with colleagues, parents and carers to support pupil development and school improvement.

For teachers on the Upper Pay Range there is scope to lead teaching initiatives and share best practice across the trust.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that engage, challenge and support all pupils.
• Assess, monitor and adapt teaching to ensure strong progress and achievement.
• Maintain a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment with high standards of behaviour.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers to support pupil development and school improvement.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including curriculum development, safeguarding and, for UPR teachers, leadership of teaching and learning initiatives.
