Haywood Village Academy in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a Class Teacher for maternity cover. You will deliver the curriculum, teach high-quality lessons across relevant key stages, and inspire pupils with a joy-filled learning experience.

This full-time role (32.5 hours per week) is fixed until 03 December 2027, with a provisional start date in November 2026. The post sits within the CLF family, emphasising high expectations, professional development and collaborative practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Ability to deliver the curriculum and consistently teach high-quality lessons across relevant key stages.
• Ability to meet the needs of learners from key identified groups, including pupil premium, looked after children, SEND and High Attaining students.
• Strong communicator with the ability to embrace change, motivate colleagues and build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
