Job summary

Newstead Wood School seeks a dedicated science teacher to join its thriving Science Department. You will plan and teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, and Chemistry at Key Stage 5, inspiring students to achieve at the highest level.

As part of a supportive team, you will monitor progress, provide feedback, and contribute to developing teaching materials to maintain high standards across science education. You will collaborate with colleagues and support enrichment activities.

Qualifications

• Plan and teach Science across Key stages 3 & 4 and challenge students to achieve at very highest level.
• Plan and teach Chemistry at key stages 5 and challenge students to achieve at very highest level.
• Maintain high professional standards of attendance, punctuality, appearance and conduct.

Responsibilities

• Develop positive and courteous relations with students, parents and colleagues.
• Ensure schemes of work are followed, reviewed and modified to maintain high teaching standards.
• Keep up to date with developments in Science and education to adopt best practice.
