The ideal candidate will hold QTS or equivalent, be a dynamic classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge, and demonstrate commitment to safeguarding and high standards of attainment.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Have experience teaching Business Studies within a secondary school setting.
• Be a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspirational classroom practitioner.
• Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Business Studies.
• Have high expectations of themselves and their students.
• Be committed to raising standards and improving outcomes for all learners.
• Be skilled in planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.
• Be confident using assessment data to support student progress.
• Have strong behaviour management and classroom management skills.
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Possess excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach Business Studies across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential.
• Support the delivery of an ambitious and well-sequenced curriculum.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress effectively.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, attainment and achievement.
• Work collaboratively with the Head of Department and wider teaching team.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment opportunities and extracurricular activities where appropriate.
