Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a passionate Science Teacher for a high-achieving secondary school in Newcastle. The role is full-time with an ASAP start and involves delivering across KS3 to KS5, preparing students for GCSEs and A-Levels, and contributing to a collaborative department.

The successful candidate will have QTS (or equivalent) and a degree in Science, with a strong commitment to excellent student outcomes and clear communication with students and staff.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Degree in Science or a related subject.
• Strong subject knowledge.
• Experience teaching Science at secondary level.
• Ability to teach confidently across KS3 to KS5.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5.
• Prepare students effectively for GCSE and A Level examinations.
• Assess and monitor student progress.
• Create a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Encourage students to develop their scientific knowledge and practical skills.
• Contribute to departmental planning and wider school activities.
