Job summary

Kids Planet is seeking a Nursery Manager for Lytham Lodge to lead daily operations, drive high‑quality care and education in line with the EYFS and Ofsted standards. You will mentor the team, promote a collaborative culture, and build strong relationships with families and external agencies to support each child’s development and wellbeing.

The role requires senior leadership experience in a nursery, an Level 3 early years qualification (UK) and safeguarding expertise.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 UK recognised early years qualification.
• Excellent understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Extensive safeguarding knowledge and child protection awareness.
• Senior leadership experience within a nursery setting and strong people management.
• GCSE Maths (or equivalent) to be obtained within 2 years of starting.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day running of the nursery ensuring high-quality care and education in line with EYFS and Ofsted requirements.
• Lead, mentor and support the nursery team to foster a positive, collaborative culture and drive staff development.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with families and external agencies to support each child’s development and wellbeing.
• Prepare the nursery for inspections and contribute to continuous improvement.
