Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking an skilled blade/NGV inspector in the UK. You will inspect castings to defined procedures and drawings, logging defects and ensuring adherence to quality standards.

The role requires a time-served NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship and 2+ years’ experience, with the ability to work unsupervised. You will book work, raise scrap or salvage documents as needed, and collaborate in a team to meet shift targets.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship in relevant field.
• 2+ years' experience in the inspection of turbine blades and NGVs.
• Ability to work unsupervised and follow set procedures.
• Good communication skills and willingness to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect castings using specified plant, equipment and techniques.
• Follow inspection procedure cards, drawings and quality standards.
• Complete inspection docs and log defects on blades and NGVs.
• Raise scrap, correction or salvage documentation as needed.
• Book work through a computer terminal and check priorities.

Job description

• Inspection of castings using appropriate plant, equipment and techniques
• Working to inspection procedure card specifications and drawings, confirming with quality acceptance standards
• Completing inspection documentation as necessary including logging and detailing defects on specified blades and NGV's
• Raising scrap, correction or salvage documentation
• Booking work through computer terminal and checking priorities
• Working in a team environment to ensure shiftily tasks are achieved
• Escalate issues that affect shift output Time served apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3) in relevant field
• 2 or more years' experience in the inspection of Turbine blades and NGVs
• Ability to work unsupervised
