Job summary

Senior Aerospace Thermal Engineering in the UK seeks an experienced Inspection Team lead to ensure parts are inspected at the required stages, aligned with ISO9001/AS9100 and customer standards, to deliver on time. Plan, organise and run calibration systems for all measurement items in service.

You will manage the measurement tooling, support new inspection tooling development, and collaborate with auditors while applying 5Why & 8D problem solving to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading inspection teams and ensuring ISO9001/AS9100 alignment.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and procedures.
• Proven root cause analysis and problem solving capabilities.
• Competent with 3D scanning tools and measurement equipment.
• Strong English communication, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Inspection Team to meet operational requirements in line with quality standards.
• Inspect parts (WIP / Final) and paperwork against requirements at each stage.
• Run inline process and product inspections throughout the factory.
• Program & Run Faro Arm’s with Laser Scanner’s using Polyworks.
• Raise non-conformances and release products within DPRV when appropriate.
• Calibrate tooling and organize collection/release of measuring instruments.
• Advise on development of new inspection tooling and methods.
• Participate in safety activities and audits; assist with problem solving (5Why, 8D).
