Position Summary

Lead, motivate, and develop staff in the Quality Inspection Lab. Monitor and improve lab metrics and processes. Inspect and evaluate components for compliance with HydraForce specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Train, guide, and mentor inspectors
• Monitor and improve inspection metrics
• Organize tasks and personnel in the inspection lab
• Prioritize inspection tasks
• Review inspection reports to accept or reject materials
• Identify and communicate quality issues
• Submit Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMR)
• Generate Temporary Deviation Requests (TDR)
• Create and edit inspection routers and templates
• Inspect components for compliance and record data
• Understand and communicate engineering specifications
• Calibrate gauges and perform gauge studies
• Communicate inspection results with the team
• Coordinate 7S activities
• Ensure safety and sanitation compliance
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

Lead a team of inspectors in the quality lab.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk/stand for long periods
• Lift and move at least 30 pounds
• Repetitive hand/arm use

Work Environment

• Warehouse setting with variable temperatures and noise levels
• Prolonged desk work and computer use

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years in mechanical inspection and manufacturing
• Ability to follow inspection processes
• Experience with quality control equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• Experience with advanced equipment (Hommel, Keyence, CMM, etc.)
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Knowledge of GD&T, work instructions, and drawings
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently

Additional Information

The US hourly rate is $22.50-$30.00, based on experience and other factors. Benefits include health plans, HSA, 401(k), wellness programs, insurance, paid time off, and education reimbursement. Salary may include bonuses or commissions.
