Job summary

Reflex Group in Mansfield, UK is seeking an Inspection Finisher/ Rewind Operator to wind rolls to specified lengths on the required core, feed paper from the master roll into a rewind machine, and label finished reels with the correct core and reel-end information.

You will also perform maintenance and calibration of equipment and work a rotating shift pattern. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for this role in a busy packaging environment.

Responsibilities

• Load specified master reels according to job bag and reel identification labels.
• Print inner/outer core labels and any required customer traceability labels.
• Select and fix the correct mandrel according to customer spec.
• Source correct core size according to customer specification.
• Set blades to slit reels to the required width and follow health and safety procedures.
• Use AVT inspection to remove substandard print from master reels.
• Maintain the quality of slitting for finished reels throughout the run.
• Ensure all reels are fully labelled per company and customer requirements.
• Follow line clearance procedures after each job and retain clearance join.

Inspection Finisher/ Rewind Operator

Location: Mansfield, UK

Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Working Hours: A rotating shift pattern of week 1: 6.00 – 14.00 Monday to Friday and week 2: 14.00 – 22.00 Monday to Thursday and 14.00 – 19.15 Friday

The company has opportunities for an Inspection Finisher working in our Reflex Label site in Mansfield.

Roles and Responsibilities

As an Inspection Finishing Operator, your duties include ensuring that the rolls of paper are wound to specified lengths on the required core. Paper from the master roll, will be fed into a rewind machine that will measure off the lengths required for the finished roll. The finished reels will then be removed from the rewin machine and labelled with the relevant core and reel end information. Your job also includes maintenance and calibration of your equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Loading of specified master reels according to job bag and reel identification labels
• Printing of inner and outer core and any other customer required traceability label requirements
• Selection and fixing of correct mandrel according to customer specification
• Sourcing of correct core size according to customer specification
• Setting of blades to slit reels to the relevant width, ensuring health and safety procedures are followed
• Use of AVT inspection to ensure removal of any substandard quality print within the master reels
• Maintaining the quality of the slitting of the finished reels throughout the run
• Ensuring all reels are fully labelled according to both Company and customer requirements
• Ensuring the line clearance procedure is thoroughly followed after each job and line clearance join retained each time
