Job summary

Reflex Group is seeking an Inspection Finisher/Rewind Operator for our Keighley site in the UK. You will operate rewind equipment to cut and wind finished reels, label them, and ensure accuracy of core and reel end information.

The role includes maintenance and calibration of machinery and working within a safety-focused environment. The ideal candidate has experience in inspection finishing, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a team under rotating shift patterns (6:00–14:00

Qualifications

• Experience as an Inspection Finisher or similar role.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to operate or learn printing/rewind equipment quickly.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Load master reels and set up reels per job bags and labels.
• Operate rewind machines to measure and wind finished reels.
• Label reels with correct core and reel end information.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment; ensure quality and safety standards.

Inspection Finisher/Rewind Operator

Location:Keighley, UK

Position Type:Full-Time, Permanent

Working Hours:Rotating 2-week pattern of Monday to Friday 6.00 - 14.00 or 14.00 - 22.00

Roles andResponsibilities

As an Inspection Finishing Operator, your dutiesinclude ensuring that the rolls of paper arewound to specified lengths on the required core. Paper from the master roll, will be fed into a rewind machine that will measureoff the lengthsrequiredfor the finished roll. The finishedreels will then beremoved from therewin machine and labelled with therelevant coreandreel end information. Your job also includes maintenance and calibration of your equipment.

• Loading of specified masterreels according to job bag andreel identification labels
• Printing of inner and outer coreand any other customerrequiredtraceability labelrequirements
• Selectionand fixing of correct mandrel according to customer specification
• Sourcing of correct coresize according to customer specification
• Setting of blades to slitreels to therelevant width, ensuring health and safety procedures arefollowed
• Use of AVT inspection to ensureremoval of any substandard quality print within the masterreels
• Maintaining the quality of the slitting of the finishedreels throughout the run
• Ensuring allreels arefully labelled according to both Company and customerrequirements
• Ensuring the line clearance procedureis thoroughlyfollowed aftereach job and line clearance join retainedeach time
