Job summary

Pearson Whiffin Recruitment Group in the UK is assisting a Legal 500 and Chambers-rated firm to recruit an experienced Insolvency and Restructuring Partner. The role covers advisory on insolvency processes, director duties and personal liability, with a focus on developing clients and a portable following.

The firm has offices in London and the South with hybrid working. You will lead and mentor junior lawyers, manage a varied workload, and benefit from a competitive remuneration and staff

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Insolvency Act 1986, Insolvency Rules, Companies Act 2006, Chancery Guide, CPR and related legislation.
• Ability to advise confidently on formal insolvency processes, insolvency claims, directors' duties and personal liability.
• Experience of contentious insolvency proceedings, including court applications and director disqualification proceedings.
• Proven track record in developing clients and building or leveraging a portable following or referral networks.

• Develop clients and generate new business for the practice.
• Lead and mentor junior lawyers, guiding training and development.
• Advise on insolvency processes, claims and directors' duties with confidence.

Job description

Our client are Legal 500 and Chambers rated and are looking to add an experienced R and I Partner to their growing team.

The firm have offices in London and the South and there is flexibility on where this role can be based.

To be successful in this role you will have technical knowledge of the Insolvency Act 1986, the Insolvency Rules, the Companies Act

2006, the Chancery Guide, the CPR, and related legislation, with the ability to advise confidently on

formal insolvency processes, insolvency claims, directors' duties and personal liability.

Experience of contentious insolvency proceedings, including court applications, director

disqualification proceedings, and claims under the Insolvency Act 1986.

This is an opportunity to join an established practice and work with a range of clients and a varied workload. You will have experience of developing clients and new business and will either have built up a portable following or have a range of referral systems that assist in gaining new clients.

This opportunity will also allow you to manage and develop junior members of staff and assist in their training and development.
