Job summary

Decipher Consulting Recruitment Limited is recruiting an Insolvency Manager in Birmingham. The role involves managing a portfolio of corporate insolvency cases, leading a team and developing client relationships while advising stakeholders through challenging situations.

You will work closely with Partners and colleagues across the practice to ensure work meets regulatory requirements and high standards, with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Strong experience managing corporate insolvency appointments.
• Recognised insolvency qualification such as CPI or JIEB, or working towards one.
• Accountancy qualification such as ACA or ACCA, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to manage cases independently and with good judgement.
• Clear communication skills and stakeholder management.
• Experience developing junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate insolvency cases (administrations, CVLs, CVAs, liquidations).
• Oversee case strategy, progress, budgets and compliance through to closure.
• Review statutory reports, investigations and recommendations.
• Coach and develop junior team members.
• Build relationships with directors, creditors, solicitors, lenders and other contacts.
• Identify potential new work and contribute to business development.

A large, established accountancy and advisory practice is looking to appoint an Insolvency Manager to join its Birmingham team.This is an opportunity to take responsibility for a varied portfolio of corporate insolvency appointments, lead a team and play an active role in developing client relationships. You'll work closely with Partners and colleagues across the wider practice, advising businesses and stakeholders through challenging situations.

The role

• Manage a portfolio of corporate insolvency cases, including administrations, CVLs, CVAs and liquidations.
• Oversee case strategy, progress, budgets and compliance from appointment through to closure.
• Review statutory reports, investigations and recommendations.
• Support, coach and develop junior team members.
• Build strong relationships with directors, creditors, solicitors, lenders and other professional contacts.
• Identify potential new work and contribute to the growth of the Birmingham team.
• Ensure work is completed to a high standard and in line with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.

About you

• Strong experience managing corporate insolvency appointments.
• A recognised insolvency qualification, such as CPI or JIEB, or be working towards one.
• An accountancy qualification such as ACA or ACCA, or equivalent experience.
• The confidence to manage cases, clients and competing priorities independently.
• Good commercial judgement and clear communication skills.
• Experience supporting and developing junior colleagues.
