Job summary

Dains, a leading UK accountancy and business advisory firm, invites an experienced Insolvency Manager to join the Birmingham office. You will manage a varied portfolio of corporate insolvencies and restructuring assignments, working with Directors and Partners to deliver practical solutions across Midlands and the UK.

The role focuses on technical expertise, client relationships, business development and mentoring junior staff, with a blend of hands-on casework and team-building in a hybrid

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of corporate insolvency experience.
• JIEB qualification is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience attending initial meetings and successfully securing engagements.
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring less experienced team members.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of corporate and personal insolvencies to include CVLs, MVLs, Administrations, compulsory liquidations and bankruptcies.
• Overseeing the compliant and efficient advancement of cases from appointment to closure.
• Participate in initial meetings with distressed companies, working closely with Directors to identify the most appropriate financial solutions.
• Be able to manage WIP and provisions on portfolio and meet the monthly deadlines.
• Work closely with other departments in the firm, providing support to clients.
• Assist building the team and, where appropriate, provide training to develop others.
• Actively engage in the firm’s networking and business development initiatives.

Through our Business Recovery team, we support businesses and stakeholders facing financial challenges, delivering practical solutions and expert advice across insolvency and restructuring engagements.

As we continue to grow our presence in Midlands, we are looking to recruit an experienced Insolvency Manager to join our Birmingham office and play a key role in the development of our Business Recovery team.

As Insolvency Manager, you will manage a varied portfolio of corporate insolvency and restructuring assignments while supporting the growth of the Business Recovery service offering across the Midlands and the wider UK market. You will work closely with Directors and Partners, providing technical expertise, managing key stakeholder relationships and contributing to business development activity.

Key Responsibilities
