Job summary

BTG is seeking an Assistant Insolvency Manager to support senior management on corporate insolvency matters, including liquidations, administrations and CVAs. You will lead on complex issues, oversee statutory reporting, and help shape case strategy.

You will manage a portfolio, guide junior team members, and assist with business development while keeping current with insolvency law and best practices. This role is embedded in a supportive PLC environment with a focus on growth and professional

Qualifications

• Proven insolvency experience with exposure to complex corporate cases.
• Strong knowledge of insolvency legislation and processes.
• Proficiency with IPS and other relevant software; strong MS Office skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with professionalism in difficult conversations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines.
• Proactive problem-solving and decision-making mindset.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of corporate insolvency assignments, ensuring timely progress.
• Leading investigations into financial affairs, director conduct, and asset realisation.
• Preparing and reviewing reports, statutory documents, and creditor communications.
• Providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
• Acting as a point of escalation for technical queries.
• Supporting strategic planning and stakeholder engagement.
• Contributing to business development and networking initiatives.
• Keeping up to date with insolvency legislation and best practices.
