Job description

Job Description

Location:

Kingston-Upon-Thames, London (Hybrid) or Dublin (Hybrid). Preference to work from the office at least 2 days per week.

About Us:

We’re a growing team of experienced hybrid brand strategists, marketing specialists and consumer researchers who specialise in mental availability research; specifically Distinctive Brand Asset (DBA) testing and Category Entry Point (CEP) research/tracking. Our mission is to transform data into meaningful business strategies. We help brands utilise the latest in marketing effectiveness and best practice, through insight rich brand research, that ultimately helps create actionable strategies. We consider our blend of consumer understanding, data modelling and marketing experience to be unique within our space and our exciting client roster of global blue chip brands is evidence of this.

Our two main offerings are Distinctive BAT (www.distinctivebat.com) and SaliencePlus (www.categoryentrypoints.com), with our company a standalone unit incubated within a larger research group.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an Insights & Brand Planning Specialist. This role will be focused on delivering client ready insight reports in our two main areas of research and tracking, Distinctive Brand Assets, and Category Entry Points. The role requires the ability to deliver insight-led reports from briefing through to final delivery, grounded in actionable recommendations. With all our projects we strive to deliver output that provides the perfect jumping off point for our clients so being able to think like them / have experience of their demands would be of great value - hence the note re brand planning skills.

A key North Star of our company’s ethos is in helping brands evolve their brand tracking & measurement solutions, and the candidate should have experience of what has come before / currently exists along with an informed viewpoint on where it lacks with regards to real-world application.

The scope of client ready insight reports will be primarily related to our two service offerings (DBA testing / tracking and CEP modelling / tracking), but may involve other areas of focus depending on the client brief.

The ideal candidate will have some client-side experience (brand planning, insight director, shopper marketing specialist etc), have a strong understanding of mental availability research and what underpins its value as well as the ability to pitch / present confidently to an audience.

Strong project management skills are also required to manage the exciting breadth of project work, client meetings and PR opportunities that are on offer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects from start to finish, covering specialist areas (DBA/CEP), and collaborate with team members and external partners where required
  • These are new territories and we have a semi-templated method for each so training will be provided but transferable research skills will be needed
  • Create polished reports by transforming raw data into meaningful, persuasive narratives
  • Act as a key, trusted client contact—liaising with clients to ensure insights are relevant and impactful
  • Assist clients in developing planning frameworks and documents based on research outputs
  • Support clients in adopting DBA/CEP-related strategies and activations
  • Create thought leadership pieces through content & bespoke research supporting the reach and relevance of Distinctive BAT & SaliencePlus
  • Develop into a thought leader in the space of Distinctive Brand Assets & Category Entry Points, furthering the impact of both topics within the wider industry

Requirements:

  • Min 7+ year’s experience in marketing effectiveness, brand planning and/or market research
  • Strong ability to translate data into clear, concise recommendations.
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to lead workshops and confidently present to senior stakeholders
  • Well versed in the latest in marketing effectiveness thinking; strong critical understanding of the work of Binet, Field, Nelson-Field, Ritson, Roach, Romaniuk, Sharp, Snijders et al

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary including annual bonus
  • 27 days annual holidays
  • Flexible working (long term)
  • Additional day holiday per year of service
  • Working on enterprise clients in a fast-growing consultancy
  • Structured training and up-skilling programs
  • Company leadership actively supports a healthy work/life balance
  • The ability to work in either London / Dublin offices throughout the tenure
