  • Gathering and shaping report requirements, translating business questions into clear analytical outputs and success criteria.

  • Designing, building and testing reports and dashboards, ensuring outputs are accurate, usable and aligned to stakeholder requirements.

  • Using Power BI to create compelling, high-quality visualisations and self-service reporting products.

  • Diagnosing business issues through root cause analysis, performance investigation and structured analytical thinking.

  • Developing scenario models, forecasts and expected outcomes to support strategic and operational decisions.

  • Translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations with quantified value and business impact.

  • Influencing decision-making through evidence-based insight, data storytelling and strong stakeholder engagement.

  • Supporting adoption of self-service analytics, data literacy and insight-led management practices.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong experience in data, insight, analytics, management information or business intelligence roles.

  • Proficiency in Power BI, including report/dashboard design, data visualisation and creating user-friendly analytical products.

  • Experience gathering report requirements from stakeholders and translating them into clear, testable reporting solutions.

  • Ability to design, build, test and iterate reports to ensure accuracy, quality and practical business use.

  • Strong business problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and structured analytical thinking.

  • Commercial awareness and the ability to link insight to business outcomes, benefits and performance improvement.

  • Experience with scenario modelling, forecasting, performance management or benefits tracking.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analysis clearly to senior stakeholders.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to challenge, influence and advise.

  • A collaborative mindset and passion for building an insight-led culture.

Technical skills

  • Essential: strong Power BI capability, including dashboard/report design, data visualisation and self-service analytics.

  • Essential: strong SQL skills, with the ability to query, transform and analyse data from multiple sources.

  • Desirable: experience using Databricks or similar cloud-based data platforms.

  • Desirable: experience using SPSS or other statistical analysis tools to support deeper analytical work.

  • Desirable: experience using Copilot Studio or other AI agent management tools to develop, manage or optimise AI-enabled solutions.

What success looks like

  • Insight and reporting outputs are trusted, adopted and used to support business decisions.

  • Recommendations lead to measurable improvements in growth, conversion, retention, service, productivity or operational effectiveness.

  • Reports and dashboards are accurate, well-designed and aligned to agreed stakeholder requirements.

  • Stakeholders are confident using self-service analytics and understand the insight behind key performance trends.

  • Strategic and operational decisions are supported by clear analysis, scenario modelling and evidence-based recommendations.
