Job summary

The University in London is seeking an Insight Analyst to join the Data Insight team. You will analyse student lifecycle data, build Power BI dashboards and translate findings into actionable recommendations to improve student engagement and outcomes.

You will work closely with Student Support and other student-facing services to ensure insights inform both operations and strategy, driving targeted interventions and measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Experience analysing complex datasets to identify trends, patterns and opportunities, translating findings into actionable insight and evidence-based recommendations.
• Experience developing reports, dashboards and data visualisations using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
• Experience extracting, querying, transforming, validating and manipulating data from multiple sources using SQL or other appropriate analytical and data management tools.
• Experience working with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate these into meaningful analysis and insights.
• Strong data interrogation and analysis skills, with the ability to work with data from multiple sources while ensuring accuracy, quality and integrity throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic and evaluative analytics to identify drivers of student outcomes and support proactive interventions.

• Translate stakeholder questions and operational challenges into appropriate analytical approaches, measures and reporting requirements.
• Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to support operational decision-making, performance monitoring and evaluation.

Working closely with Student Support and other student-facing services, the role focuses on understanding the factors influencing student engagement, retention, continuation and success.
