Job summary

Sapien in Haywards Heath is seeking an Internal Sales Executive to develop client relationships and turn opportunities into sales. The role suits someone from customer service or a call centre background who wants to progress into internal sales.

You will be proactive, organised and target-driven, with a focus on building rapport and closing deals. The position is primarily office-based with negotiable hybrid working, offering pension, annual bonus, and other benefits.

• Experience in a customer-facing role with strong communication and relationship-building.
• Confident telephone manner with willingness to make outbound calls and follow up with prospective customers.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to incoming sales enquiries and new leads, ensuring opportunities are followed up.
• Proactively contact prospective customers by telephone and email to qualify leads and identify new sales opportunities.
• Prepare and issue quotations, working with Field Sales to provide accurate information.
• Follow up on quotations and proposals to help convert opportunities into orders.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with prospective and existing customers.
• Support Field Sales with communications, sales admin and account management.
• Nurture leads and maintain regular contact throughout the sales process.
• Maintain records of customer interactions, enquiries, quotations and opportunities.
• Work towards sales activity targets and contribute to the team’s performance.
