FT Longitude is seeking a commercially curious Sales Development Executive to join its growing commercial team in London. Inside sales will open high-quality conversations with senior decision-makers at leading B2B organisations.

We expect you to research accounts, craft tailored outreach, and balance phone-led and digital approaches to create qualified meetings for the senior sales team. This six-month parental leave cover offers hybrid working and room to grow.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in sales, development, or related commercial role.
• Experience talking with senior partners by phone, email, and LinkedIn.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Curiosity about businesses and markets.
• Resilience in handling rejection with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Research target organisations and identify senior decision-makers across sectors.
• Build and maintain accurate prospect lists using sales tools and CRM.
• Develop tailored outreach through telephone, email and LinkedIn with a 70/30 balance between phone-led and digital engagement.
• Follow up marketing-qualified leads and outbound opportunities.
• Engage senior collaborators including CMOs, CIOs and other senior leaders.
• Use MEDDPICC-based qualification to understand prospects’ needs and fit with FT Longitude.
• Book qualified meetings and create early-stage opportunities for senior colleagues.
• Partner with sales and marketing to improve campaign follow-up and lead quality.
• Contribute ideas on priority sectors, market themes and buyer challenges.
• Maintain CRM records and report weekly on activity and outcomes.
• Support early-stage discovery conversations as knowledge grows.
