Ingeus is a leading provider delivering employment, skills and health & wellbeing services to transform lives. We are hiring an In Custody Careers Information Advice and Guidance Advisor to support prisoners inside custody with tailored career guidance and learning plans.

You will conduct one-to-one assessments, run group sessions and build pathways with employers and education providers to enable successful reintegration.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering guidance, support or advisory services to individuals
• Ability to assess individual needs and develop action plans to support progression
• Experience of managing a caseload and working towards targets or outcomes
• Strong communication skills to engage and influence a diverse range of individuals
• Experience of working with individuals facing barriers to employment or education
• Good organisational skills to prioritise and manage competing demands
• Hold a Level 3 or Level 4 IAG qualification, or be willing to work towards this

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-to-one assessments to identify prisoners’ skills and training needs and develop a Prisoner Learning Plan
• Delivery of engaging group sessions on employability skills and career planning
• Foster genuine relationships and create a safe space for personal growth
• Engage with prison education, training providers, employers and probation services
• Maintain quality records and work towards KPIs and QA standards
