Job summary

GENEWIZ UK Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Sales Associate to identify growth opportunities within smaller accounts and promote the full range of GENEWIZ services. You will develop territory strategies and work with managers to drive sales in academic and small biotech customers.

The role involves marketing and direct sales, attending vendor shows, and generating leads. You will travel up to 3–5 days per month and support field reps with CRM data and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences required.
• Minimum sales experience required.
• CRM experience preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel 3–5 days per month.
• Driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create sales strategy with the support of manager for the designated territory.
• Conduct marketing and sales independently in academic and small biotech accounts.
• Conduct vendor shows, lunch and learns in academic and small biotech accounts upon request.
• Generate qualified leads through proactive outbound prospecting.
• Follow up with new customers and reply to incoming price inquiries.
• Support field reps from the office, including retrieving data from internal systems such as CRM/Salesforce and CLIMS databases.
• Prepare reports for territory and account management.
• Lead generation and data entry into CRM.
• Qualify marketing leads from trade shows, events and campaigns.
