Zusammenfassung

Eversheds Sutherland seeks an Associate with 1-3 years’ PQE to join the Inquiries & Investigations team in Birmingham, Cardiff or Manchester. You will work on high-profile public inquiries, supporting complex and sensitive work for public sector clients.

Flexible travel and on-site work will be required. Candidates must be able to obtain UK security clearance as needed and contribute to a high-volume disclosure and document-review environment.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 1-3 year’s post-qualification experience.
• Experience of public inquiries, either acting as Solicitor to an Inquiry or supporting a Core Participant.
• Experience in private practice, government, regulatory and/or public sector environments.
• Previous experience on large-scale disclosure or document review exercises.
• Superb analytical skills.
• Excellent judgment and attention to detail, especially with sensitive information.
• Excellent commercial awareness and financial acumen.
• Ability to think independently and contribute with colleagues and Counsel.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality, cost-effective work on time.
• Willingness and ability to work on site at client premises in central London five days per week and be flexible for next assignments.

Aufgaben

• Act as solicitors to statutory and non-statutory inquiries.
• Represent core participants in public and non-statutory inquiries.
• Undertake internal investigations and independent reviews.
• Liaise with witnesses, interview and take statements.
• Oversee evidential review and document management processes.
• Support large disclosure projects and document review exercises.
• Redact sensitive and confidential information carefully.
• Utilise IT systems to monitor, analyze, and report on evidence.
