Job summary

Sellick Partnership is working with a leading international law firm seeking an Associate Solicitor (1–3 PQE) to join its Inquiries & Investigations team in Birmingham. You will handle high-profile public inquiries, supporting disclosures and sensitive investigations for a public sector client.

You will work with experienced lawyers on complex cases, with responsibilities spanning witness interviews, evidence review, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with 1-3 years' PQE.
• Experience on public inquiries, including disclosure or regulatory matters.
• Experience in private practice, government, or public sector environments.

Responsibilities

• Act for statutory and non-statutory public inquiries and core participants.
• Assist with internal investigations and complex evidential analysis.
• Review large volumes of documentary evidence and manage disclosure exercises.
• Liaise with witnesses, take statements, attend hearings, and coordinate with clients and counsel.
• Advise on inquiry procedures, data protection, privilege, and related processes.
