Job summary

The Circle Health Group is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to join The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle on a bank basis. You will cover inpatient services across medical and rehabilitation patients, contributing to assessments, therapy plans and multidisciplinary collaboration.

The role requires HCPC registration, a SLT degree and at least 5 years’ experience with acute medical patients. Salary is hourly and paid as required, with a strong patient-centred care focus.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) or MSc in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
• HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
• Minimum 5 years experience with acute medical patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments of speech, language, communication and swallowing functions.
• Develop and deliver evidence-based treatment plans tailored to patient goals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care.
• Educate patients and carers about therapy strategies and safe swallowing practices.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with policies and standards.
• Support the use of AAC tools and resources when appropriate.
