Job summary

Scarborough Health Network is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a 12-month, part-time temporary position at Centenary Site. The OT will work as part of an inter-professional team to deliver care on inpatient units, following departmental policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will hold a Baccalaureate in OT with licensing and liability insurance, and will demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work across SHN sites may be required based on needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and Licensing with the College is mandatory.
• Liability insurance confirmed.
• Proven interpersonal relationship skills and good judgment.
• Demonstrated skills in efficient and effective patient care.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide care on inpatient units using recognized OT practices.
• Participate in regular inter-professional team meetings.
• Liaise with community providers and advocate for clients and families.
• Participate in patient and family conferences as needed.
• May be scheduled at any SHN hospital based on needs.
