Job summary

Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Team Leader for the Inpatients Team in Aston ward, Stevenage. You will lead the clinical team, drive quality improvements, and support staff through supervision and development.

You will work closely with the Matron and leadership peers to ensure safe, effective care for service users and carers, in a hospital setting focused on recovery from mental illness.

Qualifications

• RNMH/RNLD/RMN with NMC registration and post-registration experience
• Degree with postgraduate study or equivalent
• ENB 998/Mentorship
• Evidence of management or leadership development
• NMC registration
• Teaching/training experience, management of staff in a multiprofessional setting
• Extensive post‑registration experience, at band 5 and band 6
• Awareness of inpatient service issues – legislation, DoH guidance, NPSA, PEAT, CQC, NHSLA, MH Act and MCA

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the Inpatients Team within the Acute & Urgent Care Division
• Work with the Matron to support development and direction
• Deliver high-quality supervision, appraisal, and staff support
• Coordinate leadership to ensure coordinated care and best outcomes for service users and carers
• Drive continuous quality improvement and change in practice
